Design in Wood 2024:

Competition Description: Design in Wood is an annual woodworking exhibition and competition hosted by the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association at the San Diego County Fair for 40+ years. It mainly displays entries from professional craftsman and highly skilled hobbyists; those entries are judged by a panel of professionals to determine winners. Here is an excerpt from the SDFWA website:

"Described as 'the biggest and best woodworking exhibition in the country; by the editor of Fine Woodworking magazine, the international Design in Wood Exhibition now averages over 350 entries from across the country, and even internationally...Over 1,500,000 people are expected to visit the fair this year and this exhibit is the standout."
