“Concord” is a sculptural table created for the Concord Hindu Temple to serve sacraments beside the main shrine. Conceived within the temple itself, the piece was designed as a welcoming object within a grand ceremonial space.

 

Crafted from curly cherry and Indian soapstone, this piece continues an exploration of stone and wood through a hand-carved soapstone sculpture and features a lumbercore tabletop with shop-sawn veneers, faceted base components, and curved joinery. The evocative materials work together to create an object intended for gathering, offering, and community.
